Wheat lsystem test

Working on a lsystem element that will work as a closeup detail to the bigger crystal growths. I've used wheat references and it's pretty close to those but I think I want the growth to be planar so I can place it on arbitrary surfaces. Starting to work in shorter intervalls and then casually plan and meditate over the next step. I think this works well with my stressed scheduele and the testing phase the project is in.

As the goo will sipp out, I want its movements to be driven by a irregular, kinda creepy force. This is a test for something that will be a underlying skeleton in the goo. I think I'll put some twitching movements in it and then start working on it's surface. This is made by an Lsystem with an animated angle function and gravity force applied in the rules.

More intricate method to build up tree structured segments. One of the pictures shows how I build a line modell and then swaps out every line segment to an L-system. The Lsystem sproach was needed to certify connectivity (no hovering pieces). I hope to find a way to make holes in the branches, a nice detail to brake up the stright feel they currently have.

Breaking vein

Made this take as an abstract thread structure that breaks and fills the void between the two parts with liquid. The thread is an lsystem that curls up on itself, copied up and mirrored and then noised That means the two sides is symetrical except some noise but I think I get away with it. Update: both my supervisor and girlfriend complaints about clarity in my work these days, so here's a more clear version. Also, the lsystem is attached to a wire that breaks on the first frame.
